Here is a sneaky look at our video game ‘Addison’, all about the village of Addison and the people who lived there! We can’t wait to see you at our launch event tomorrow, Monday 15th July at 2pm, where you can play the game and find out all about this important part of our local history.

The children in all classes have been preparing a presentation all about the project and Miss Tague is hard at work making a film about it, which we are looking forward to seeing tomorrow too! We are also welcoming our MP, Liz Twist and Karolynne Hart, Head of Arts Development at Gateshead Council to see how we have been using this modern art form to communicate our history knowledge.

We have been working in conjunction with High Spen Primary School on this project about 2 villages condemned as Category D. High Spen survived but sadly, Addison was demolished. Thanks to Historic England for funding the project and Guy Schofield , the artist who worked with us on the project, as well as Debbie Beeks, project coordinator.
