Year 6 found out so much about life in Tudor times when they had a visit from That History Bloke , Richard. They investigated Tudor artefacts , which helped them to understand what life was like for both poor and rich people. They found out about Tudor medicine, which was sometimes but not always effective! They met a leech called Cyrus and learned that these are still used in hospitals today. They learned how to play a popular Tudor board game called Merrelles. Finally, they learned how to use quill pens to write and signed Death Warrants, something Henry VIII was very fond of doing! A fantastic morning, where the children had so much fun that they didn’t realise how much they were learning!
