  • Wonderful World Book Week!

    Sun 21 Feb 2021

Here are  our plans to celebrate World Book Day this year. World Book Day is Thursday 4th March and we have activities planned throughout the whole week beginning Monday 1st March.

The Masked Reader- Some of our teaching and non-teaching staff have been incredibly good sports and have masked up to read some famous children’s books. You challenge is to identify which member of staff is behind the mask and what book they are reading! Again, you can enter via an assignment in the Whole School team – it’s multiple choice to make things easier. Prizes from Usborne as before- this should be lots of fun!

World Book Day Thursday 4th March

We would love to celebrate World Book Day by dressing up either as a book character or in bedtime story’ wear. Could your child also have their favourite book available to share, either in school or virtually. We have lots of exciting book related activities planned for the day.

We hope your child enjoys this week  and continues to enjoy reading books of all kinds!

  • Your School Lottery

    Wed 03 Feb 2021

As you all know fundraising by our Parent Staff Association has been hit by Covid, like many other things. Despite this they continue to support school and the Christmas events were undoubtedly some of our highlights last term

To ensure they can continue to help fund activities and resources in the months ahead a School Lottery has been set up and we hope that, if you can, you will support it.

Tickets cost £1 a week and the money is divided as follows

40% is paid to the PSA for fundraising

30% goes into prize pot which someone buying a ticket for our school wins

The remainder goes into the jackpot which is available to all players from all schools ( up to £25000)

To join you just need to click on the link www.yourschoollottery.co.uk/play and look for Ryton Federation. Choose how many tickets you want and your numbers (or have a random pick) and then the easiest way to pay is by direct debit - 1 ticket costs £4.34 a month and 2 tickets cost £8.67

Our first draw is in 6 weeks to give time for people to join the lottery. If you join now you will also be entered into a free draw to win a Robot Prize Bundle containing a Robotic Lawnmower and a RoboVac Cleaner (who wouldn't want on of those to help with the housework!)

We are grateful to all our parents, carers and supporters who continue to help us provide additional resources and experiences for all our children
