  • Busy Bees

    Over the last few weeks, year 2 have been learning all about bees as part of our English lessons. We used the information we found out to write our own reports. We also did some projects at home. As a special treat we got to try some runny honey on toast. It was delicious!

  • Skipping Workshop

    All of our classes took part in a skipping workshop last week. It was also lovely and sunny which made it even better!

  • Crawcrook Library Visit

    Year 1 had a wonderful time at the newly refurbished Crawcrook library! They found out that Elmer the Elephant was 35 and Kyle read a story about Elmer. They then went on a letter hunt and explored the library. There are lots of super books!

  • Prayer tree

    Fri 10 May 2024

    Our Year 5 class had a lovely trip to Ryton Methodist Church this morning. They worked with some of the churches in our area, including Holy Cross Church, Ryton and St Mary & St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church to learn about how special being part of a community is and how we can show our gratitude. The children left their prayer leaves on the prayer tree.

  • A Visit from Roly the Hedgehog

    We had a wonderful visitor in the Infant School this morning – Roly the hedgehog! We learnt all about how to look out for our spiky friends, the foods they like to eat and where they like to sleep.

    Thanks to the generosity of our brilliant community, we have received a fantastic £150 towards our Early Years cooking equipment. Thank you to Ryton Co-op for allowing us to have the wishing well for the month of April. We are so grateful and hope all of your wishes come true!

  • Year 2 Library Visit

    Year 2 were very lucky to be invited to the newly refurbished Crawcrook library. It was such a lovely place to be. We heard a story, played a guess who game and read some books ourselves. We definitely would like to go back!
