We are reading 'Wolf Brother' to inspire our writing this half term.
We created Stone Age traps in our Forest Area which might be used by the main character, Torak, to find food. He was a hunter gatherer, who had to find or catch his own food.
We made sure we dismantled them afterwards, to make sure they didn't actually trap any animals!
The displays in our lovely classroom are starting to come to life with amazing work done by our children.
We have been writing descriptions of our favourite places as part of a unit of work based on the book 'Here We Are'
After looking at the work of Henri Matisse, we created our own collages inspired by his 'cut outs'.
We summarised the story so far in our brilliant class reader 'The Wild Way Home' by Sophie Kirtley. We had to think very carefully about the words we chose as we only had a limited number of characters for our 'tweets'!
