Ryton Infant and Junior School Federation

Positive, Respectful and Safe

Junior Harvest Service

Dear Parent/ Guardian,

A reminder that our amazing children are performing at the Key Stage 2 Harvest Service on Friday, 19th October in the Holy Cross Church, Ryton. We are pleased to say this includes our year 2 choir members. All children (including Year 2 choir) will be walking down to church at 1.20, for the celebration which starts at 2pm.

We would love you to come down to the church and experience the service, led by the children. It would be a perfect opportunity for you to see our talented children performing, presenting, singing and joining together to celebrate this very special time of year. There is always such a lovely atmosphere in the church and the choir have practised so hard. I am biased, but I think their singing this year is better than ever!

Help walking to church is always appreciated; we will be setting off from the junior building at 1.20. There will be refreshments provided beforehand by our Ryton Parents’ group. After the service, you can sign out your child and take them home yourself, or we will walk your child back to school for the end of the school day and after school clubs. Can you please inform the infant school office to let them know what you intend to do.

Miss Gilholm at the infants school is the emergency contact for children at the harvest service on 01914132776.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact school on 4133573. I hope to see you on Friday.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs D Ashcroft
